Norwegian Cruise Line presented its novelties for the 2018 and 2019 seasons at the last FITUR fair. Some of them I already told you in this article, but today I am going to dwell a little more on the ones that take you to the Caribbean.
Two ships are those that carry out special itineraries through the Caribbean, in addition to Norwegian Bliss, one of them is the Gem and the other the Dawn… And now there are its characteristics, itineraries and indicative prices.
The Norwegian Gem ship accommodates nearly 2.400 male and female passengers, more than 1.000 people who make up the crew. In 2015 it was renovated from bow to stern with new decoration and new premises like the successful Sugarcane Mojito Bar and O'Sheehans Neighborhood Bar & Grill.
One of the most spectacular itineraries on this ship is a tour of the Eastern Caribbean, departing from New York. A trip of 10 days to the following destinations: Saint John (Antigua); Castries (Saint Lucia); Fort-de-France (Martinique); St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) and return to New York Harbor. All this for less than 950 euros per person in a double cabin.
But if what you want is to start the 2019 Christmas season in an incredible way, then I recommend an eight-day Gem cruise in the Bahamas and Florida from New York. Departures begin December 13, 2019. This popular family itinerary includes a one-night, two-day stay in Orlando and Port Canaveral, plus a day on the private island of Norwegian Great Stirrup Cay and a visit to Nassau, Bahamas. This cruise has, in my opinion, an added value and it is the excursion that it raises to the historical places, to know the Afro-descendant legacy of Nassau. Combine beach, excellent beaches with history.
If what you are looking for is to get out of the way in winter, but on a quick getaway to spend the New Year, then You can sail Norwegian Dawn from Tampa for a five-day Bahamas and Florida cruise departing on January 16, 2020.
