The application period for Imserso trips, the social tourism program for seniors, opened on September 15th and will close on December 1st. While I haven't found any cruises among the available trips, some cruise lines and travel agencies take advantage of this period to offer cruises at Imserso prices—very, very good prices. The only requirement to qualify for these discounts is being over 55 or 60 years old.
I will tell you about some of the proposals that are on the table so that you can do a luxury cruise, at an Imserso price.
The cruises I've seen departing from Barcelona travel through the Western Mediterranean . I've listed these four options and their booking dates, but you can also check with your travel agency for other options.
Until September 30th, you can book a 6-night cruise on the Costa Diadema from Barcelona to Marseille and back. Departure is on December 12th. The most economical price is €75 for an inside cabin for those over 55, excluding taxes, but including full board on board and use of all common areas, entertainment, shows, and more.
Until October 5th you can book your trip on Sovereing from 149 euros, excluding taxes, for the Colors of the Mediterranean cruise.
MSC is offering two cruises : one on the MSC Fantasia from €235, bookable until September 30th, departing November 9th. This is a 6-night Mediterranean cruise visiting the Italian coast. The other is on the MSC Splendida from €299 plus taxes, an 8-day cruise with an additional 5% discount on the drinks package for those over 60. The advantage is that this attractive price is valid for departures almost every Friday until March. Remember that these prices are for those over 55.
