Cruise Trends for 2018, According to CLIA (II)

I already told you in yesterday's article (you can see it here) some of the trends in the report of the International Cruise Lines Association (CLIA) State of the Cruise Industry for 2018. I talked about increased care for the environment, multigenerational trips, not family trips, but groups of people with different age ranges, economic democratization with trips for almost all levels, experimental cruises and others that I detail below.

Remember that data speaks of 27,2 million people traveling by cruise ship since January 2018.

Another trend in this CLIA report is that Travelers choose cold destinations, leaving the warmer ones aside a bit. In fact, the destinations that are expected to grow in popularity are the Baltic States, Canada, Alaska and Antarctica.

Now more than ever healthy and well-being trips are sought, to which cruise companies respond with services and experiences for the mind and body. There are expert health seminars, personalized fitness programs, and stress management services… menus for a wide range of dietary, diabetic, vegetarian, vegan, ceriac, and more.

Another of the big issues in which shipping companies are putting the batteries are the intelligent technologies on board for travelers, allowing them a more personalized service. Through bracelets you can find out which are your favorite places on the ship, the type of menu you usually choose, and other details, which in turn guarantees that you receive special and specific suggestions and advice for this traveler.

The figure of travel agents remains criticalMore and more, in the field of cruises and especially the highest-end cruise passengers prefer to be advised in the planning and execution of their vacations.
