Norwegian Cruise Line increases its profits in the first half

Music festival

This morning I received a statement from the Norwegian Cruise Line company stating that In the first 6 months of 2016 they have registered net profits of 195,2 million euros. This figure represents a 59,43% more than in the same period of the previous year, when they obtained a profit of 122,5 million euros.

No doubt the cruise market continues to pay off, at least for the NCL. If you want to have more information about the figures of this company and its proposed new itineraries for next year, read on.

In addition to this increase in profit, the turnover of the US shipping company increased by almost 12%, specifically 11,91%, with 2.024 million euros. And all this despite having experienced also a 7,11% increase in spending compared to the first six months of 2015. Of expenses they had 1.224 million euros.

To maintain this growth rate Norwegian Cruise Line has announced changes to its European itineraries in Summer 2017, specifically on the ships Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Spirit, which will have new destinations in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Tickets can now be booked for either of the two ships. On Norwegian Jade you will be able to travel from Hamburg on three itineraries through the Norwegian fjords from June 2017.

And if you decide to travel on Norwegian Spirit, I will tell you that from next year its base port will be in the capital of Italy, and from there it will make 10 and 11 day cruises through the Mediterranean, visiting small ports outside of the most common destinations. Cruises to the Holy Land with an overnight stay in Haifa are also planned. As for these new proposals, very soon I will detail the routes of both ships, for now what I wanted to tell you is that the cruise sector continues from strength to strength.
