The TUI Discovery 2 vessel, belonging to the Vision Crucero class, measures 264 meters in length and has a maximum capacity of 1.800 passengers, plus a crew of 774 people on board. It has a seven-story-high lobby and highlights its 18-hole golf course, something highly valued by the British, who will also be able to practice this sport on the island of Tenerife during the ship's stopovers.

The TUI Discovery 2 itineraries for the 2017 season include the cities of Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Ibiza, Porto, Lisbon and Marseille, in addition to the cities of Santa Cruz and Malaga, which has also been chosen as a base port. It is from this last city that the ship's cruises will depart every Sunday from August to October, and then the base port will move to Santa Cruz.

TUI Discovery 2 was formerly the Splendor of the Seas, but was sold to TUI Cruises by Royal Caribbean International in March of last year. The details of this sale are not known. After going through some arrangements, the ship was renamed last June in Palma de Mallorca.
