The Junta de Andalucía, in its continuity to reinforce cruise tourism and provide better and more options, proposes a cruise that unites the Mediterranean with the Atlantic, passing through Seville. Thus there would be a cruise line from the cities of Malaga, Seville and Cádiz.

The time to make this approach is not accidental, since The Ministry of Tourism considers that 2018 will be a key year for cruise tourism in Andalusia, because of the competition that could occur once relations between the United States and Cuba are regularized.

This offer of the new line is designed for medium-sized vessels, and with a target of luxury travelers. What they want is that the ports of Malaga, Cádiz, Seville are base ports, that there is no competition between them, but collaboration and complementation in terms of the attractions that each city presents.

In this preliminary project and information phase, the bases will be laid for regularize the offer between the three cities with a minimum of quality. The Junta de Andalucía has ruled out the introduction of the tourist tax.

In the case of the city of Malaga, the port authority, together with other local and regional institutions have taken the measure of renewing port fees, including discounts of up to 40%, in order to encourage stopovers starting and / or ending in the capital and the arrival of ships during the low season, winter and summer.

In turn, they are offering the program Malaga Cruise Shops, whereby the city's shops organize their opening during the arrival days of ships, even if they are Sundays or holidays, and the Málaga Pass card, which also has discounts for people arriving on a cruise ship.
